Staff Team
We are very proud of our experienced, caring, and professional staff team, sentiments echoed by residents and relatives that resulted in Wensley House being ranked as the best care home in Epping and in the top three in Essex.Naturally we carry out ISA and enhanced DBS checks on staff and ensure references are verified and good before staff begin a supported Induction Scheme and a range of training with Industry Professionals and, after three months, undergo review for an extended probation or welcomed to the team here. Our standards are very high because our staff reflect our vision.

Admission
Choosing your new home can be a very important milestone and can sometimes be a little daunting and even emotional. We have been doing this for a long time and are happy to help answer your questions and take the fear and uncertainty out of any transition using our experience and expertise. It may even be an idea to visit other homes and see which one feels a fit for you as this is the most important part of finding a home.

If you’d like to join us here at Wensley House, we will happily sit with you over a cup of tea and talk about your needs and history and get to know you – this is more formally called an Assessment – and it’s how we make sure we can care for you really well, and support you.
Rooms
Many of our rooms are newly fitted and decorated and we encourage residents to personalise their own room too. All rooms come with an ensuite (some include a wet room), a 24-hour nurse call system, an advanced addressable fire safety system, and CCTV among other things.
Weekly Fees
Fees in every home are based upon several factors including the level of care required, standard of room, and room location to name a few. Below is a guide that may be adjusted as part of the Assessment process so these rates are not to be taken as finalised.
