• Finding a 'caring home' for my mother, when my father passed away after 67 years years of marriage, was a daunting and sad time. After visiting numerous care homes, the task of finding a 'home from home' environment seemed an impossible task. However, Wensley House, has achieved what we thought to be the impossible. This home is outstanding ! Read all the reports, but please, take the time to visit Wensley House, you will not be disappointed. The management and all the staff, show such dedication and a caring and loving understanding of their residents needs. This is a 'Happy Home' and offers a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for all the residents. How likely would you be to recommend Wensley House? Extremely Likely.

• Wensley House is a very warm and friendly care house. All the staff are considerate and caring of the residents with a high level of attentiveness for their clients. The home is clean, tidy and set in beautiful grounds. Meals are enjoyed very much by my father and he would appreciate seconds!!

• I like this care home very much, all are helpful. I am enjoying the meals and it is nice that you have a choice because not everybody likes the same food. • I like the home and I am very happy. The food is very good. I am enjoying the activities, the music. All the carers are helping me. I like that my hair is done every week by the hairdresser. How likely would you be to recommend Wensley House? Extremely Likely.

• On viewing Wensley House we went without an appointment and met the manager who was willing to show us around and also come to assess mum in her own home. We were allowed to make her room her home which she did because we were able to get her a double room. Mum had quite a few visitors at different times and mum had just been widowed. I spent a few times which I took mum around the home, the lounge, garden and dining hall. I was always made very welcome. Unfortunately mum passed away within the month of her stay. The carer was there to assist with everything we needed. I was there to witness this. Even mum said the carers were wonderful. How likely would you be to recommend Wensley House? Extremely Likely.

• Each time we visit all the residents seem very content, and comfortable. Very warm welcome from the staff at all times. My mother in law settled very quickly.

• My mother recently passed away at Wensley House. She had not recovered from a brain hemorrhage and was being treated by end of life nurses. The staff and the manager, Sharon Osborne, cared for our mother with great humanity and with dignity during her last days. Staff would come into her room to say good morning and goodbye at the start and end of their shifts, they really care. Not only that but myself and my two sisters were also looked after and support during this distressing time. Thank you for making a sad time easier for us.

• Difficult time with mother after stressful time in previous home. End of life care at Wensley House dealt with love, dignity and efficiently. Reassuring to know that Mum is in a very special place and completely satisfied they care for her better than I could. The support, information and reassurance of care received means so much on behalf of our family. Manager supports and helps everyone and staff are a delight. Everyone is a team who work hard - you can tell it's more than a job. Wensley House is special and the genuine care and affection for each resident as an individual is quite moving. Fresh home cooked food is outstanding. Regular times which is important. Wensley House has major building work on going, which is due to be completed in November 2014. A credit to there level of care that this has not impacted care. You'll never find another place like it, I would recommend without hesitation. How likely would you be to recommend Wensley House? Extremely Likely.

• The management of Wensley House were extremely helpful in the transition from hospital to care home with my father. They actively attended social worker meetings and advised me to help keep my father at home when up against the council. The staff are so friendly and helpful and make fathers stay a pleasant one.
